i think this is what I need to be focusing on right now

just banging out the sketches...
this shows me where I'm really at.

and it's probably a great way to get over perfectionism.

in general I think my excessive focus on 'realism' surpasses my present knowledge/understanding, which just ends up making my work stilted.

I think i need to take a few massive steps back and focus on flow/cohesion of form and cultivation spontaneity - ergo the retention of dynamics/energy.

I've returned to an older style*, featuring heavy contrast and subjective lighting.
Which means Imma start inking again as well;
and adding color.

I've high hopes;
and I'm feeling good about it all.
